the Steinhardt Museum in Tel Aviv.
Not
far from Tel Aviv we found a small lake with rich vegetation around. On
its shore grew yellow flowers which were visited by colorful Jewel Beetles.

of Acmaeodera especially of the subgenus Acmaeotethya sitting under loose bark
of dry sunexposed branches of different kind of wood, for example of oaks. We
could find Acmaeodera ottomana (Frivaldszky, 1837), Acmaeodera simulans Abeille
de Perrin, 1891, Acmaeodera biseriata Reitter, 1890, Acmaeodera saxicola
Spinola, 1838 and Acmaeodera crinita Gory, 1840 with that kind of method
sometimes very common.

ottomana (Frivaldszky, 1837) can be found on yellow flowers or on dead branches
of oaks.

of Pinus. Adults visiting different flowers, most of all pink Cistus.
